Capri
Meet our 6th Place International Quartet Finalists – CAPRI. Capri is an a cappella quartet – singing in the barbershop style – but this is not your grandfather’s (or grandmother’s) barbershop! Nancy, Jen, Kate, and Maggie have been singing together for 11 years, and won 6th place medals at the 2012 Sweet Adeline International contest in Seattle! They have been chosen twice by international convention audiences to receive the “Most Entertaining” award. HCMC is honored to have all four Capri members sing in our chorus.
Nancy Disney
Nancy sings tenor and her well-known rendition of “Lady Down the Hall” is often requested. Nancy does a mean imitation of “The Crocodile Hunter” (RIP) and is the mother of 3 children. Nancy is Jen’s sister.
Jen Kuethe
Jen is Nancy’s sister and Capri’s exceptional lead. She makes four-part learning tapes for Capri and others in her “spare” time. Jen has 3 children and is known to have a weakness for gummy bears.
Maggie Butts
Maggie is responsible for CAPRI’s bass line. She entered her first quartet competition the year Jen was born. Maggie has 3 grown children and 7 grandchildren. If you need a Theremin player for your next event, call Maggie.
Kate Mannherz
Kate takes charge of the baritone part in Capri – her very first quartet – and she is a talented front-row dancer with HCMC. Kate is unmarried and has a parakeet that thumb-wrestles.
Capri’s official sandwich is Wendy’s Spicy Chicken.
Their CD “Capri Diem” and the song “Child in Me” won 2nd place CARA awards. Oh, and a while back Ellen DeGeneres included a clip from their video in her “Bathroom Singing” segment! You can see it on YouTube! They love their audiences and the audiences love them!
